That's where Pass Plus comes in - it is a voluntary scheme designed by the DSA that offers new drivers professional instruction in the following areas: town driving, motorway driving, dual carriageways, all weather and night driving, and out of town driving on rural roads.
You will learn how to safely join motorways, make safe progress, and exit them. You will also drive on out-of-town routes, learn to deal with all weather conditions, and much, much more.
Upon successful completion your instructor signs that you have completed the training - there is no test. This should then entitle you to an insurance discount which could be up to 30%. A list of insurers offering discounts are given when you do the course.
